The purpose of parole is to supervise and support the reintegration of complex and high profile prisoners who have been released from prison by the Adult Parole Board.

Best practice case management principles are applied, particularly the Corrections Victoria Offender Management Framework. Concurrently an integrated transition process from imprisonment into the community occurs.

This supervision and support benefits our community with the overarching purpose of safety. It's designed to reduce the risk that offenders will commit further offences when released.
