Community Work and Partnerships

An offender is given an opportunity to make a positive contribution to society when the court places a community work condition on their order. Corrections Victoria recruits professionals to oversee and coordinate the community work program.

Participants in the program can be assigned many jobs; including parks and ground maintenance, graffiti removal, distribution of food and clothing and more.

Professional roles within this area include community work officers, supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities include:

❂ Supervision of community work

❂ Connecting offenders to employment, training and education

❂ Building valuable local partnerships with councils, businesses and not-for-profits that promote rehabilitation and community reintegration of offenders.
