Disability

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is committed to increasing the participation of people with disability in our workforce. We want all people to feel they have the opportunities and work environment they need to thrive in their job.

Many candidates have their first interaction with the department when they're considering applying for work, like you may be doing right now. We want you to have a positive experience of the recruitment process, so we follow a process to ensure you feel supported throughout and can start your job confident any reasonable adjustments you request will be taken care of.

The Victorian public sector (VPS), which the department is a part of, has developed a seven-year plan for improving access to employment and support for people with disability. Hit the button below to learn more.
